One Barrel Brewing Company is a brewery located in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin. It’s an excellent stop for a fun day out with your family to enjoy a beer, a few games, the weather, and some food. The set-up at One Barrel is great to stop with kids as they have several activities to keep them entertained. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the environment is perfect for families (or just adults if you’re lucky enough to have some time away). Ambiance
One Barrel Brewing Company is not only a great place to enjoy beer but also a great place to spend quality time with your family. The outdoor beer garden is huge. There are areas that are covered for shade in the summer, and fire pits to keep warm when it’s a bit colder outside. If the main area is too crowded, there is a hidden outdoor area on the opposite side of the brewery.
The indoor area is also laid out well, with lots of tables and seating areas. There are lots of TVs above the bar to catch any sporting events, or two seating areas with TVs and retro gaming consoles to enjoy some classics. On the weekends in peak season it will be crowded, so be aware you may be waiting for the perfect table or set-up for your group.
The brewery has lots of activities for kids, which helped us keep our toddler entertained. Some of the games are more suited for older kids, but even something as simple as a spaghetti board game with a bowl was enough for him to play around and occupy his time. Outside you’ll find cornhole and some larger yard games to play as well, which are good for both adult groups and kids.
Drinks
The brewery has an excellent beer selection, and one of our favorite beers was the Ninja Dust IPA. This beer is a combination of hoppy and malty flavors, making it a perfect choice for those who a juicy IPA style. They do have a menu that provides options in the main beer categories from lagers to sours. Their experimentation isn’t as extravagant as other breweries in the area, but there are enough quality beers to make it worth the stop for a few.
They do offer flights at the bar inside. They’ll hand you a box with a chalk marker to make your picks. This is highly suggested if you want to try a few before making your ultimate selection. Most of the beers are available to go from the coolers in the store area, and they do offer growlers to go, which isn’t always available at breweries these days.
They do have non-alcoholic options and soda for the kids.
Food
Originally they partnered with Wild Tomato for their food option connected to the brewery, but recently this switched over to Pizza Bros. They offer a variety of wood-fired pizzas and a few other options. We tried their So Smokey pizza, which was pretty delicious. The crust is lighter, which was good as it didn’t make us uncomfortably full. The turnaround time from order to pizza being ready was pretty quick too, which was appreciated.
