Peach Barn Farmhouse and Brewery is the newest brewery in the Door County area, located just outside of the main area in Sister Bay. When they first opened, it was just outdoor seating for the nice weather months, but over the winter of 2021-2022 they finished the inside of the building. This is a welcomed addition to the brewery stops in Door County and adds another great place in Sister Bay to enjoy a beverage or two. Here is our Peach Barn Brewery review!

Located right off Hwy 42 as you head north into Sister Bay, Peach Barn can easily be missed. If you’ve reached the gas station and Piggly Wiggly, you’ve gone too far. As you turn into the parking lot, the parking seems limited, but there is additional parking at the back of the building. Peach Barn Brewery is good for warm days, cold days, and rainy days…but especially nice on a summer day in the sun. The outdoor area is our favorite and is the best brewery to visit that can keep a toddler entertained while the adults have some fun. We highly recommend stopping by for drinks. We have run into the owner a few times while visiting, and he’s a very nice guy who’s willing to discuss what’s going on at the brewery. Congrats to him on starting a nice business!

Ambiance

You’ll quickly notice the spacious outdoor seating area as you walk up. There are several spots to claim for your group, in the shade or out in the sun. Various types of seating are also available, ranging from picnic tables to hanging seats from the trees. It has a feel of an open beer garden and is mostly hidden from the busy highway that passes out front.

Inside, several tall tables and other seating areas are available for rainy days or a break from the sun. The bar also has a few stools, making it easy to sit and sample the beers. They bring in live music occasionally, so keep an eye out on their events calendar to stop in when they have a band. The merch and to-go beers are available inside next to the bar. They have some cool gear that’s worth checking out.

There are several options for entertainment while visiting. Inside, there is a selection of board games for adults and others more tailored toward kids. These are great to bring to your table and entertain the group while enjoying your drinks. On nice days, there are also a few cornhole boards outside. These provided some fun for our little guy. Who knew dropping bean bags in the hole would keep him busy for more than 5 minutes.

In the corner of the beer garden is an area with fences on three sides and various toys for the younger kids to stay entertained. There was a sandbox, trucks, animal toys, and other things to keep the kids busy. This is a much-appreciated addition to an outdoor beer garden.

Drinks

At this point, I think we have tried all the different beers on tap. None bump against a 5/5 on untappd, but there are some solid choices for a start-up brewery. There are options for all the different flavors a beer drinker may want, from ales to stouts. You can sample the beers with a flight or order a full pour. Most of the beers are available in 4-packs if you find a favorite that you want to take home.

Some of our favorites are:

  • Where Harry Met Sally
  • Six Four Three Double Hazy
  • Highway 42 Cherry Sour

They do have non-alcoholic options and their own seltzers for those that aren’t beer drinkers. Seltzers aren’t our thing, but we did sample one, and the flavor was good.

Food

There is not a kitchen or full food service available. They did have some snacks for purchase and a cooler of ice cream treats. I imagine you can carry your own food outside, like a pizza from Wild Tomato, but we haven’t tried or seen someone do it yet.

Hopefully, you find our Peach Barn Brewery Review helpful!
